I first met Cheyenne at Front Portch Coffee House in Kilmarnock last earlier this year. She was planning the sweetest backyard wedding to College sweetheart for the comming summer. Her family has a home on the river here in the NNK and it was her vision to marry the man of her dreams in a place that dear to heart. It was clear from our original meeting tht family was important to her. Important shots to her included all of the women in her life having time fasten her dress and sharing in her joy and anticipation.

They had a church wedding with our community’s beloved John Farmer officiating followed by backyard reception on the Rappahanock with the most beautiful view. It was a hot summer day but no one seemed to mind. That wonderful salty sea air filled our lungs and had it’s contenting effect on everyone. Lavender donned the tables and bouquets. It hung from light fixtures and the tent and ornimented antique coke bottles. It was even tossed on the couple as they made their exit from the church. It was the perfect small town wedding.

Matthew and Cheyenne, thank you so much for incuding me on such an amazing day! It was my pleasure to witness!

XOXO
