When I meet with couples before they’ve decided to hire me or when I talk to them through email or over the phone I always try to stress one thing. I am there for THEM. Their wedding day is about their love story, their vision and it is up to me to capture that exactly how it is. Not to demand some pre-determined order or list of things that HAVE to be done so my work can displayed a certain way. I’ve heard of some ridiculous stories since I’ve been doing this and I’ve never been able to wrap my head around them. I don’t want to work with one type of bride. The variety I’ve gotten to work with is something that I absolutely LOVE about my job.
When I met with Jenna and Andy they knew from the beginning that they didn’t want a lot of what most of my clients want. They didn’t want pre-ceremony stuff. They didn’t feel the need for me to photograph details. This was their second time around and for them it was all about their family. The joining of them and their children to symbolize a fresh start. To being happy again. Jenna has some AMAZING details, and sure, I was sad that I didn’t get to photograph them, but it’s not about me. It’s about THEM. And I was happy to do just as they wanted.
That all being said, this is a smaller wedding sneak peek that you usually see from me. It has pictures of their children, their smiles, the first day of their new lives together. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out – because it’s them. Simply them.
XOXO
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my clients. Past, present, and future. I strive for a relationship that extends further than their wedding day. The industry is constantly changing and I strive to keep up with new standards while holding true to my style.
