I’ll be the first to admit that I was VERY hesitant about moving to Richmond County. I grew up in Lancaster and I was a bit snotty about the whole thing. I wasn’t even in town when the first good thing happend to us after moving here. My mother in law was in town and she lost her wallet. It had a lot of cash along with her ID that was pretty crucial for ability to get on a airplane and go home in the next few days. The day after she lost it we got a call that it had been found and it was at a local country store. A local teen had found it in the ditch and took it there. Not a dime was taken, and the Thomas’s from Thomas Store made sure it was put back in our hands. A couple of weeks later, my dear, dear husband tried to burn down the 23 acres of woods we have on our brand new property… lol well that wasn’t his intention but that is what was happening. With in minutes of his call to the fire department, the local volunteers were at our property and dealing with it like professionals. The fire was quickly under control and we got to know our neighbors REALLY quickly. lol. The one family consistant in turning our misfortunes around were the Thomas’s. I say we hit the jack pot of neighbors. They have gone out of their way to help us on numerous occasions and in the process become dear friends. When I found out David was engaged I was all over it!
There is a lot to be said for small town people. I have been so pleasantly surprised by this community.
David and Amaris are planning a fun summer wedding in their field of Sun Flowers. When we got our most recent snow storm everyone was in agreement that doing their engagement session there in a different season would be perfect. He proposed to her in this spot and it’s one of their favorite places!
The next time you see this couple on my blog it will be full of bloomed sunflowers and summer sun. It’s going to be an amazing day and I can’t think of two more deserving people!
XOXO
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my clients. Past, present, and future. I strive for a relationship that extends further than their wedding day. The industry is constantly changing and I strive to keep up with new standards while holding true to my style.
