So how many Pitch Perfect fans do we have? The sequal used a term fitting for this session… The Legacy. LOL… I told Sarah I was going to write that in this blog post and I’m true to my word! Ha! So why am I talking about legacy? Three words: Northern Neck Gingerale. It’s as much a staple in this area as the river itself. Sarah’s grandfather was the creator of this amazing drink and we were able to bring in a vintage Carver’s bottle to photograph with Sarah’s gorgeous engagement ring that also has family history in Sarah’s family. Burkes Jewelers did an amazing job redesigning and remounting these beautiful diamonds.
I had the opportunity to spend some time talking to Sarah before our session. She was pretty set on what she wanted out of our time together but when I arrived I found that she much more relaxed and open to suggestions from me. Having photo’s taken isn’t always as easy and standing in front of a camera. There are a lot of nerves, especially when you don’t know who you’re opening up to. I quickly fell into a stride with them and we were able to make this a time of getting to know eachother and relaxing… There was a lot of laughing and picking and that is my absolute FAVORITE!! I left feeling like I had made two new friends and fully satisfied that their love story translated through these pictures.
Thank you so much, you guys, for trusting me and sharing this time with me! I couldn’t have asked for more!
XOXO
