Who is to say what forms a bond. There are countless kinds, countless ways. I am no expert on those facts, only my own experiences.
I met Becca a few years ago. She was the Maid of Honor for another precious bride of mine. It was an unassuming meeting, I was focused on other things. A little under two years ago, she popped back into my life with a phone call. She was recently engaged and had some big ideas. It was at that moment my adventure with this amazing couple started.
I formally re-met Becca and met Jacob when they flew me out to Sedona, AZ for their engagement session. My first trip to AZ – and it was amazing! It was only a few days, but during that time I really got know these two. I got to see their love for each other, learn how they met, fell in love, and about their lives before they each were in the others. I bonded. This precious, precious couple made a mark.
On their wedding day, they opted not to see each other before the ceremony but to share a prayer on opposite walls. I don’t think I realized how much I felt for these two until that moment. I cried like a baby. It was such a tender, sweet moment. I honestly have never experienced two people so deeply connected as they are. I watched Becca say to her Maid of honor during the reception “I am the luckiest girl in the world”. It melted me. I took a step back from that moment and really took in what my job is. I am so thankful for moments like these. It’s easy to get caught up in details, and fleeting things.
Jacob and Becca, you two will always hold such a special place in my heart. I am beyond grateful to Marianna for bringing you into my life. No two people deserve the happiness you’ve found more than you. XOXO
