When people found out that I was heading to Texas for a wedding, the first question I got was “How did they find you?” The answer is small town connections 🙂 Another local photographer, Tara Moskoff (Tara Lins Photography) was this sweet bride’s college roommate. Since she was in the wedding, she referred me! I was so honored! Everything worked out perfectly! Liz is from Maryland so they hopped a plane and I met them in Ocean City to do their Engagement Session and get to know them better. It was gorgeous! A few months later it was my turn to hop a plane and I met them in Kyle, Texas for one of the most gorgeous weddings I have been a part of. I love new places and new scenery. This was my first time visiting Texas. Kyle is between Austin and San Antonio, and being the history nerd that I am, I passed on Magnolia Farms and instead went to The Alimo. It was a beautiful country. Kind of a mix of two places I’ve called home; South Dakota and Virginia. South Dakota is dry, arid, full of cows, and pastures. Take some trees from Virginia, marry the two and you’ve got Texas! lol. It’s its’ own kind of beautiful. The venue, Texas Old Town, was like a western movie set! The sound of cicadas in the trees, the hot sun bearing down, cowboy boots and hats, deer roaming the grounds… it was such a breath of fresh air for me! I loved every second!
So how did a beautiful woman from Maryland end up with man from Texas? Adventure! One day Liz just up and moved to Texas. She needed a change of scenery, a fresh start. I admire her so much for that! She took a chance and she ended up finding her soul mate and the happiness that she dreamed of. Watching these two together I can’t image her life any differently. I am sure she can’t either.  Both Families were truly kind and welcoming.  I hit it off with Joe’s family and I loved being able to step aside and talk, genuinley, with people I didn’t know two days prior.
Thank you Liz and Joe for this adventure! You’ve added some precious memories to my life and I feel so honored to have played a small part in your love story so far! XO
