This past Friday I made the trip to Leesburg. It being the weekend of the Holiday traffic was crazy. Cars, cars, and more cars. Stop and go… It was maddening. After almost 3 hours I made it to the vineyard. The gorgeous piece of Heaven tucked away from the craziness only a few miles away. It was a beautiful summer day. Hot, Sunny, and blue skies. I made my way to the Bridal suite and was greeted by the biggest smiles and joyful laughter! I was no stranger to a few of these women. I hugged the bride and her soon to be sisters-in-law. One whose wedding I photographed last year… and the other whose wedding I will photograph next year. Can I just say that I adore the Bentley Family? Two Brothers and a sister. A beautiful reflection of my own family. I saw so much of my children in these three. The one outgoing, fun playful brother (J), the one more subdued but extroverted when comfortable and with family (Logan) and the sweet sweet sister… A mixture of both but beautiful and always smiling (Wren). It brought tears to my eyes more than once that day. I am so honored to have been and to be with this family on the bigger days of their lives.
Elizabeth was radiant. Calm, happy, and always with a smile on her face. Her dress fit her like a glove. She was stunning. I loved the playful nature of her and Jonathan together. They have been together for 10 years! High School sweethearts that stood the test of time. I think it was a long time coming for their family and friends and every where you turned on that day people were happy, laughing, and showering love on the couple.
I can’t thank these families enough for welcoming me into their lives for this day! It was truly amazing and I can’t wait to see them all again in a year!! XOXO
