I knew from the minute I met Ashley her wedding day was going to be spectacular. The amount of thought and planning that was going into her day was exceptional! Steven and Ashley had just moved to North Carolina but drove to the Northern Neck to meet me for their engagement session. I was so happy to share my home with them for this memorable time in their lives. We strolled through Belle Isle and the Mary Ball Washington Museum getting know each other and being filled in on their plans for their big day. At the time of their booking, they were my second wedding at Rosemont. You’ve heard me talk a lot about this place in Berryville, but with good reason. I really can’t stress how beautiful this property is! And the coordinator on staff there, Michael, is seriously one the best planners I have ever encountered. He knows his stuff!
The weather for their wedding day didn’t look great. Heavy clouds with scattered thunderstorms through out the afternoon. When I got there, however, the sun was shinning and it stayed that way the whole day. It was such an unexpected, wonderful surprise. They knew they had some family members upstairs pulling some strings for them 😉
Ashley said herself the day after her wedding that so many people told her to prepare herself for some things to go wrong; to just roll with it… But her day was perfect. Nothing went wrong, nothing popped up, everything ran as smoothly as one would ever hope.
From the details, to the gowns, to the suits, to the fireworks show at the end, Ashley and Stevens day was everything they dreamed of. It was such an amazing thing to witness and walk through with them. I love watching my couple’s on their wedding days. How they cope with the anticipation, how they extend grace when things come up, how they express their love when they see each other and exchange their vows. How they dance their first dance as husband and wife, and how they love on those closest to them for all their help and support coming up to this very day and moment. It’s why I love this so much.
Ashley, Steven, and all other family that I know are waiting anxiously for this peek at their day… Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of this amazing day. Thank you for your help and your kind words of encouragement and support! I know Steven and Ashley are in wonderful hands with all of you rooting for them! I can’t wait to see what comes next for them in life!
