It’s e season! And what better way to celebrate all the newly engaged couples than by featuring one of my 2016 couples!
Carolyn and Tyler were so excited for their session. For Carolyn it was a chance to head back to her childhood home, Belle Isle. Her father was recently transferred to another park so it was an emotional visit. Walking up to the door Carolyn began to cry. Of course, being Trudy from Steel Magnolias – “No one cries alone in my presence” – I cried with her. Tyler was amazingly supportive – compassionate and caring and giving her all the time she needed to reflect.
There is one image in this session that as soon as I saw it knew, was the summary of Carolyn’s life so far. She was looking out over the water, wrapped in Tyler’s arms with the most fulfilling look on her face. I know that look. For us that grew up on the river we get it every time we see it. With Tyler behind her, not only was she seeing her past, she was FEELING her future. It’s every. single. thing. I love about doing what I do.
This session breathed new life into me and I am now more eager than ever to kick off 2016! XOXO
