I met Erika a little over 2 years ago. Both new to our work and excited to learn more. We had a lot in common and the more we talked the closer we got. If you follow my work, these faces might seem familiar. I photographed Amy’s wedding back in May in PA. I fell in love with this family. It was like spending a couple of days with friends at the beach. I had never been to Delaware before and I jumped at the opportunity to go when Erika messaged me. This place was amazing! We got an amazing pink sunset that night. It had rained that day and the wind was nuts so we were pretty nervous! There wasn’t going to be a chance to make it up! But… the sun came out and the winds died down and everyone looked great!
Erika wanted to gift her mom with some family pictures for her birthday so this session was a surprise to her! They kept it a secret until the day I got there… they made sure she packed a certain dress and they all packed something to coordinate! Erika and her husband Kevin also celebrated their year anniversary back in July so she wanted to take this time to get some unique pictures celebrating! She pulled out a bottle of champagne and their wedding glasses and popped the cork right there on the beach!! It was perfect!
I was so grateful for this opportunity. I adore this family and their relationship. I love laughing with them and being with them! I was so happy to spend time with them for a second time this year! I hope to spend lots more time with them in the future!
So to my local friends who follow me, enjoy these images from another gorgeous coastal area! We see lots of the river and VA beach, but that beuaty isn’t solely here in the NNK!
