I met Terell and Allison, gosh, almost a year and a half ago at Panera in Mechanicsville. After a few email exchanges we decided to meet face to face to get a feel for one another. I met a beautiful, excited, Allison, overflowing with details, plans, and ideas. Terell, with a constant smile, stayed mostly quiet. He wanted whatever she wanted.
I could tell photography was important to Allison. She came to our meeting prepared and fired off question after question. I appreciated that so much. We were on the same page from the first moment. I was so so excited when my email dinged a message was waiting – with their confirmation to book me!
The Mill at Fine Creek was a new venue for me! I can’t believe I’ve not been there before! Tucked away in the woods, just outside of Richmond is this amazing venue with rows of cottages, a brewery, a gorgeous brick ruin that is an option for ceremony location, A large pergola with wood bench seating (another ceremony location), a large Manor house for a climate controlled reception, and most beautifully, a rock stream that is fully accessible to play on for portraits! We took advantage of it all! We lucked out with a looming storm that gave us the perfect light for Bride & Groom Pictures.
It was a genuine honor to capture Allison and Terell’s day. There were a lot of smiles, a lot of laughter, and even a few happy tears while those precious moments were being experienced.
XOXO
