The final chapter of story 3 years in the making. I met this beautiful woman three years ago when I photographed her brother’s wedding. Since then I photographed her other brother’s wedding and finally, on the most perfect rainy day, Taylor’s. I watched these siblings celebrate, love, and encourage each other on the happiest days of their lives. I won’t lie, I teared up at the end of this night, thinking back to how grateful I am to them, and how I feel tied to them in some small way. It was one of the best moments in my career.
For a bride that plans an outdoor wedding, “rain” is the worst word you can hear. Not only did it rain on her wedding day, it rained the whole week before. Flooding closed roads and standing water was everywhere. If it bothered Taylor, you wouldn’t know. Her dress was gorgeous, her hair was perfect, and her makeup flawless – but the smile she wore was the most beautiful part. All that mattered was purpose of the day. Their marriage. The start of their life together as man and wife. BUT we were definitely fortunate enough to have some breaks in the rain to head out and get some pictures.
Taylor and Ryan, your wedding was perfect. It was perfect because you CHOSE to embrace each other and enjoy it instead of worrying about the weather. It touched my heart and I am so thankful that I was able to be there and witness it all!
XOXO
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my clients. Past, present, and future. I strive for a relationship that extends further than their wedding day. The industry is constantly changing and I strive to keep up with new standards while holding true to my style.
