Tanya and Kent was the first 2017 Wedding I booked last year. They were on the ball with their planning and I was impressed with their organizational skills. They were so sweet! I am sure I overwhelmed them a bit with my talking but they sat, smiled, and listened. Kent is the strong quiet type. Tanya the perfect balance to his quiet was super sweet and eager to discuss their plans. I was so excited when I found out they wanted to book me to photograph their Norfolk Botanical Garden Wedding.
We met last year for their engagement session at the Gardens as well. Kent had actually recently broke his leg so we made our way slowly through grounds and it gave us a great chance to get to know each other.
Their wedding was beautiful. Tanya surprised me in a knee length lace dress with cowboy boots! Kent wore jeans and black chucks! I loved that they wanted to be themselves on their day. They are not over the top people and they kept their day true to themselves and there is no way I can envision it any other way! Gorgeous emerald jewel tones and bright yellow sunflowers complimented their styles. Family flew in from across the country to help them celebrate and it was a fantastic party! I loved watching family see each other and reunite in such a happy way!
It was a bit cold – low 60’s and for May, that is odd, but everyone took it in stride and didn’t let the chill in the air suppress the party!
I was so honored to serve this wonderful couple! I am so happy their day was everything they wanted it to be! I can’t think of two more deserving people!
