When I was doing Katie’s bridals I met her mother, father, and sister. They said, “Katie says you’ve known Robbie your whole life… how was that?” HAHA…. I know that I said all of this when I blogged on Robert and Katie’s engagements so I will move along…
This wedding day was so sweet and full of emotion. They chose to do a first look because Katie knew her nerves were going to be off the chain. Let me just tell you there were some heavy tears flowing in that sanctuary during that moment – and mine were included! That moment between them was precious. You could feel it. Katie just relaxed into Robert. He is her safe place. Her calm. He held her and told her she was beautiful, that he loved her. THAT is their love. I was overwhelmed with emotion as I was photographing that moment… witnessing something so private and special. That moment set the tone for the day and everything just moved along effortlessly.
The reception was a blast! Katie said after their pictures that she just wanted to go party! Laughter and smiles, great food, beautiful decor… It was amazing. And that candy bar? Oh. MY. Gosh. It was fantastic!
Katie and Robert, you guys had been waiting so long for this day. I’m going to miss Robert’s facebook countdown… but I doubt very seriously I will see the messages of endearment stop. A lot of people could take a lesson in love from you two. I was so honored to be there to witness so many special moments. Katie, I just love you. I mean that. When I met you two Halloweens ago I never knew I would get to be so involved in your love story. I am so thankful for that. I wish you and Robert all the happiness in the world. XOXO
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my clients. Past, present, and future. I strive for a relationship that extends further than their wedding day. The industry is constantly changing and I strive to keep up with new standards while holding true to my style.
