I told Sarah on her wedding day that she managed to get the BEST day of the year so far. They credit it to “burying the Bourbon” and I’ve seen it work more often than not, but either way, it was amazing. Warm weather, not a cloud in the sky, and the most gorgeous view. The bright sky presented it’s own challenges for me… but through each moment of the day we made it work.
I love being invited to these tucked away properties. Ones that you would never know existed unless you were joy riding on a boat. They chose this spot for the amazing view and the tables and decor for the reception were spot on.
Both Sarah and Peter lead busy lives in DC. I am not sure if they chose an intimate ceremony due to Covid or if they just simply wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life to just relax and enjoy the river – maybe it was a bit of both. Sarah brought the glam from the big city and stunned in her gown. Peter, was dashing in suit. Friends and family were equally fashionable and I could tell that they genuinely enjoyed getting away and taking those deep breaths of fresh salty air, only the river can provide.
It was amazing to be a part of this day. I love watching love – Love between the new husband and wife, love from parent’s watching their children start a new chapter (here and from above), and I love watching friends and extended family share laughter from memories, all while making new ones.
Best wishes to you all! Thank you for allowing me to be a small piece of it!
XOXO
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my clients. Past, present, and future. I strive for a relationship that extends further than their wedding day. The industry is constantly changing and I strive to keep up with new standards while holding true to my style.
