I know people say that you find yourself in college. I believe that, I do… cause that is what happened to me, however, growing up in a small town you have opportunity to have people in your life that stay. You spend the whole of the first part of your life with these people and they watch you grow and change. They may not be there when you REALLY figure out who you are, but they stay because they’ve loved you forever. They were the ones that taught you about lasting friendships and family. That is what I saw at this wedding. Kara is one of those people that you meet and love right away. She is caring and genuine. I’ve known Kara since we were children, and like most girls in our community, through softball. Of course she had her college girls present BUT the ones she chose to have closest to her were the ones she grew up with. The ones that were with her from the beginning. I knew so many people at this wedding because we all were in school together growing up. I love that she came home after college to give back to the community she grew up in. Everything about this wedding speaks of Kara’s heart from her home. It’s precious.
I LOVE that Nate is from NC… and he is going to make a life with Kara here. He loves this woman. Everything about her – and her, him.
I’m struggling to find words because I don’t want this to sound trite.
The one thing I can say is that it was a party! Laughter, smiles, dancing, singing…. just time together with people who genuinely enjoy each other’s company and have a history of doing so.
Kara and Nate, your story has started strong! I pray that the relationships you have surrounded yourselves with continue to strengthen and encourage your journey! I wish you the happiest of lives together… And I am so thankful I get to be close by to watch!
XOXO
