It couldn’t have been a more perfect day. Summer weddings can be a toss up. Excruciating heat with 10000% humidity can make for smothering day, even if everything falls into place perfectly. Almost magically, Lauren and Jon’s June wedding was a weather fairy tale. Cousiac Manor in Lenexa (just outside of West Point) gave a gorgeous river front backdrop. Blue skies and waters, a graceful breeze, and the right amount of warm sunshine painted the day effortlessly. Lauren was calm and happy. Those last minute details that spring up never unnerved her and she went with the flow. Jon with his group groomsmen spent the early afternoon in good spirits, excitedly waiting for the ceremony. When Lauren walked down the isle in her mother’s gown, Jon and Lauren both were full of emotion. Happy tears flowed and even I was wiping some off my cheek.
Lauren and Jon’s day was easy. Not easy as in light work, easy as in smooth and effortless. It’s the kind of day that unfolds when there is complete contentment.
Lauren and Jon, thank you so much for choosing me to spend such an amazing day with you.
