This session is a prime example of why I LOVE doing what i do! When I showed up Joey was super chill… He was like “I’m down, do your thing”. Elyse was a little nervous. She warned me that she wasn’t good at pictures. A lot of people feel this way about themselves. I understand this SO well. I told her she was fine… that she was gorgeous and had nothing to worry about… making her comfortable was my job and I knew I could handle it! As is most always the case, after the first few clicks of my shutter she fell into a grove and seriously rocked this session! Joey was easy! He loves this woman and was all about himself some Elyse! LOL… Tell him to cuddle and nuzzle wasn’t really even necessary. He just loves loving on her! I love theset wo as a couple! We laughed and joked and just had a good time. These types of sessions should never be awkward and getting the couple to a place where they feel comfortable together in front of me is one of the most fulfilling things I do!
I wish I could say I was photographing their wedding but I was already booked on the date they chose. As a hint to something to come, I got the honor of this session from Burke’s, where Joey got Elyse’s awesome engagement ring! It’s from their NNK Knot Collection and had a few personal touches added to it!
