As I sit here trying to put together this blog post I find myself short on words. I really don’t know what to say. Everything sounds so cliché…. The “I just adore these two” or the “aren’t they just adorable?” or “I just clicked with them.” Yes, all of those things are true, but I really need to be able to stress that even though I say those things a lot, I don’t just say them to say them. I genuinely mean it with all of my couples. I love the fact that I am a LOCAL photographer. I emphasize that because we live in an amazing small community where we are lucky enough to know a lot of people. We know their families and their histories. I know that there is a bad rap about small towns. Nosiness, gossip, rumors… but I CHOOSE to see the value in it. This is totally a post for another day but I say all of that to say this… Even though Lindsay and Joel were familiar with my work, asked previous clients about their experience with me, they still wanted to meet me before they booked BECAUSE they value the relationship. They want to know that we can work together well and that I can see the value in their story. A story that takes root in this small place in Virginia…. Their engagement ring is even locally made! Burke’s Jewelers in Kilmarnock custom made this ring for them… It is amazing. I LOVE it…
Thank you, Joel and Lindsay for sharing this journey with me. Thank you for taking the time to make sure you had someone who could value everything about it! You guys are special, and beautiful, and unique! You deserve to feel and be captured that way!!! XOXO
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my clients. Past, present, and future. I strive for a relationship that extends further than their wedding day. The industry is constantly changing and I strive to keep up with new standards while holding true to my style.
