It started with an e-mail. One of the kindest, sweetest people messaged me about her coming wedding. It wasn’t going to be traditional. She wanted time with her closest family and friends with comfort, laughter, and the ability to be present with them all. I was instantly on board. Christine has been one of my most enthusiastic brides. She has kept in touch with me often over the course of the past year sending me encouragement and sharing exciting milestones through out her planning. She has become more than client, but a dear friend.
The forecast for her wedding started out perfect then literally the day before became ominous with rain. We were so lucky that it never rained after 3. The ceremony was a bit windy but was perfect otherwise! She wanted simple. Pinwheels created the isle while her friends and family watched from the sides. Her dress was perfect for her. I believe her words were “no unnecessary fabric”. Her mother made her jewelry, Her brother in law married them, and family unable to attend were skyped in to feel present. At the reception it was the perfect BBQ. Posing for pictures her friend said “put your drink down” her response was “no way we are supposed to be having a good time and this is my good time!” Everyone was laughing. Kids were playing in the pool and old friends shared stories over drinks. Her desert menu includes S’mores and tiki torches lined the property. All the while I kept thinking how HAPPY I was to be there – and reflecting – that was her goal. I know Christine and Casey were able to have the wedding they wanted and that makes me so happy for her! She deserved it so much! I love seeing the smile on her face in these pictures. She got to marry her best friend surrounded by the ones she loves the most. Happy Bride – Happy Photographer 🙂 Love you Christine! Here is YOUR Wedding Wednesday! 🙂 XOXOX ( i totally teared up writing that! LOL)
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my clients. Past, present, and future. I strive for a relationship that extends further than their wedding day. The industry is constantly changing and I strive to keep up with new standards while holding true to my style.
