As I was reflecting on this day I was trying to remember how I met Brooke. She is an insurance agent at State Farm in Gloucester. Her boss, Treye Haradaway, was a family friend and I began using his agency to insure my home, cars, and business. I’m pretty sure that is how I met her but it got confusing because her cousin and matron of honor is a dear friend of mine and she’s been a part of the planning process from the beginning. I didn’t dwell too long on the facts because regardless of how I met her, she is amazing and I’ve loved working with her in both of our professions. Brooke knew what she wanted and was educated (through her matron of honor who is also a photographer) and the whole thing was a breeze.
I talk a lot about weather on the these blog posts because it is a HIGE factor in every session and wedding I do. Unlike regular sessions, a wedding can’t be moved if it decides to rain. Bride’s have to enter into planning with that in mind and regardless of old wives tales that rain is a sign of good-luck… no bride wants it to rain on their day. As EVERYONE is aware, these past few weeks have been NOTHING but rain. We’re all holding on to hope that it HAS to stop sometime, right? lol… Well the week leading up to Brooke’s wedding was rain rain rain. By some miracle from Heaven… the rain stopped on Saturday. We had the occasional sprinkle, but all in all… it was perfect. THANK YOU LORD!
Brooke nor Ryan would have been overly affected if it had rained… they are just laid back that way… but I know, especially for pictures, this was the BEST possible outcome!
I’ve been so thankful to have clients that appreciate my presence during their day and feel that their pictures play such a big role. Brooke made this clear to me from day one and over and over said how excited she was to see the images from her day! She was stunning…Her dress, flowers, and veil were all perfection for her! What an awesome job she did making these decisions.
As an extra thank you, I wan to mention Tiffany Sigmon, Brooke’s Matron of Honor… As I said earlier, she is a photographer herself and was stepping out of her usual role as photographer to be there for her life long best friend and cousin but that didn’t stop her from helping me throughout the day! She was an amazing support to Brooke and to me. THANK YOU Tiffany!!!
And THANK YOU Brooke… Your trust in me from day one did so much for me and I couldn’t have been happier to spend this amazing day with you and Ryan!
XOXO
