Oh this wedding! It has been a long time coming and it was nothing short of amazing. I met Luke and Shannon two years ago at their best friend’s wedding in Williamsburg. I can still remember getting that text from Jessica saying “our best friends just got engaged and we’re sending them your way”… I’m pretty sure I shared it on Instagram… LOL…
But fast forward two years and here we are! A gorgeous late spring day… with a surprise thunderstorm that gave us an amazing sunset and two people so in love that nothing else mattered.
There were lots of happy tears this day… joyous moments that a bride waits her whole life to experience. It was just all around perfect.
I love that they chose to have the wedding here in Luke’s hometown. Shannon is from Chesapeake but they still had the wedding here, in Luke’s home church and he even gifted her a gold bar necklace with the navigational coordinates engraved on it.
Like I said, I’ve been on this journey with these two for almost a year and a half now… and I am so sad to see it come to an end. It’s a bitter sweet moment when the one day you’ve been waiting for for so long comes and goes. I have a feeling I will still see these two around a bit… But I’ll miss our chats and random discussions.
Luke and Shannon… I couldn’t be happier for you two! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for including me in your day! My heart is full! XOXO
There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about my clients. Past, present, and future. I strive for a relationship that extends further than their wedding day. The industry is constantly changing and I strive to keep up with new standards while holding true to my style.
