This couple. This amazingly sweet, wonderful, giving, full of love couple. My heart is forever tied to them. From day one, Kelly has been in my corner, cheering me on, supporting me, and believing in me. She didn’t know me at all. We met over and e-mail and then a face time meeting but never once did this woman doubt me. I remember when we were doing her engagment session in Yorktown we were approached by an elderly couple where I was asked by them if I was a “real photographer”. I was caught off gaurd and was looking for words but without missing a beat Kelly said “yes, she is… and she is the best.” When you’re a creative person and you are lucky enough to have a career creating it can be hard. You put yourself out there every session and count on the affirmation from your clients that you’re doing it right. Without seeing her specific results, she had my back and was willing to go to bat for me. I wish I could I say I was special in that regard, but after being at her wedding, surrounded by her friends and family, I can honestly say she is feirce for everyone she cares about.
When they first contacted me they joked that they were an older couple… but their story just goes to show you that true love is worth waiting for. They’ve known each other for 15 years… letting their friendship develop into the sweetest love story you could see. They laugh together, a lot and that is one of my most favorite things. I’ve never seen a group of guests more happy and excited for the bride and groom as these people were. Such a testament to the way Kelly and Daryle live their lives.
