When I met with Susan about photographing her wedding she was well into a long distance relationship with her fiancé, JB. He is in the Coast Guard and was stationed waaaaaaay out in WA state. She was disappointed that she wouldn’t be able to get engagement pictures with him. We substituted a bridal session in place of the engagements in the Collection she booked. Fast forward a few months and I start seeing posts from her about how he was coming to Yorktown for a few weeks! What an AMAZING surprise for her! Precious time with her finace she wasn’t expecting to get! We talked and worked out some details and managed to get this session in while he was in town! It was a BEAUTIFUL evening. Perfect. Some last minute things came up so my kids were my assistants that day… J accidentally picked a protected flower, The Yorktown Onion, so before we ditched the evidence we snapped some pretty cool shots with it… So if any park police or county police read this – I’m sorry, it was an accident… please don’t fine me 😉 My 5 year old did it.
Susan doesn’t have too much longer being seperated. October will be here before we know it. I can’t wait for this wedding – I’m sure she can’t either! HAHA!!
I’m so glad the military gave us a PLEASANT surprise, Susan and JB… You guys did such an amazing job! XOXO
