Here we are 13 days into January and i am filling my blog with Christmas balls, evergreens, nutcrackers, and Santa Hats. Christmas is an incredibly busy season for me. On top of several families wanting pictures i have 3 kids of my own who need pictures, presents, and a memorable Christmas Season. My mom was a teacher so she had the season off. My dad was a police officer so he was on shiftwork but was around more often than not. I remember so many Christmas traditions we had. Both sets of my grandparents would come to our house Christmas morning and spend the day with us. Waiting to decorate the tree while mom ironed every single one of the red satin ribbons we would tie on the brances, the home made Angel that my sister made out of cotton balls, pipe cleaners, and a toilet paper spool (i begged my mom to put our pretty, fancy one up every. single. year. but nothing could compare, in her eyes, to the one made with love by my kingergarten aged sister). Then my favorite tradition, the assemply of the candle, angel, spinny thing. LOL. To this day i don’t know what it is called. All i know is i HAD to be the one to put it together and if i put it together once, i put it together 20 times. I would take it a part and put back together over and over again. It facinated me. I need to ask my mother if she still has that. I’m pretty sure every bit of my Christmas wonder is wrapped up in that little piece of decoration.
All of these clients are repeat clients and some of my favorite people to work with. I love their children. I’ve gotten to watch them all grow. Connor, since he was born. Rachel, Madison, Matthew, and little Isabella for the past 2 1/2 years. Reagan and Parker for the past 3 years, and Jacob, Emily, and McKenzie for the past year. I love that they know who i am and will talk to me and work with me. All of my clients and their famlies are extensions of me. We have invested in each other and my heart is full to be able to give them these memories.

So here is to Christmas in January. If your holiday season was like mine then there wasn’t much of a chance to refelct and remember the reason for the season and what makes your heart full. Better late than never 😉 XOXO

I want to give a HUGE Thank You to Sarah Hathaway at the Holiday Inn Express who graciously let me invade her hotel lobby for 3 of the 4 sessions. It was a rainy miserable morning. I had planned on using The Rotary Club of Lancaster County’s Tree stand which you do see in one of the below sessions. The weather didn’t cooperate so we used plan B. Thank you so much Sarah! You have saved me in this way more than once! Thank you, Thank you!!!
