It was a rare short day for me. 4 hours instead of 8, but that still left all my favorite things to photograph. Maria and David planned a gorgeous wedding. I had never been to Jasmine Plantation but it is a beautiful spot tucked in the trees with a unique ceremony site and large space for the reception. If there was a word I would use to describe their style it would be Vintage. From the reception details, to Maria’s dress and veil, to the engagement ring, it was all vintage.
Maria was stunning. She looked like she stepped out of a magazine from the 1920’s.
I can still remember several years ago at a bon fire with mutual friends talking about how great these two would be together. If I remember correctly, we even designed a plan to make it happen. I don’t think anything ever came of the plan, but somehow they found their way to each other all on their own. Now here we were celebrating their marriage with family and friends on a gorgeous late summer day.
David and Maria, this is the part where I would usually wish you a lifetime of happiness and hope that I’d get to see you sometime in the future – and while I do totally wish you all that happiness – since you’re only a mile down the road, I know that I will get to see it all unfold myself. That makes me happiest of all!
