I met Danny and Heather last year at their engagement session that was also here at Paynefield Farm. We all hit it off right away and my sarcastic nature coupled with Danny’s led to a fun filled evening with lots of laughs. Danny and Heather remind me so much of my husband and I. I so enjoyed getting to know them and working with them during such a happy time in their lives.
The day started with the weather trying to act up. While I was working on Heather’s details it rained a bit and thunder rolled, but left just as quickly as it came and the day turned out to be totally perfect!
Heather did her own hair and I was totally floored by her talent! It’s one thing to do amazing up-do’s on other people but to be able to work that magic on yourself under the pressure of your wedding day totally blew me away! Danny was his usual happy self, making jokes and laughing every chance he got!
Along with all the similarities I felt Lonnie and I shared with Heather and Danny, we also share the heartache of loosing a child. We both had little boys lost during our second trimesters that we delivered, held, and mourned. They included their angel baby in every aspect of the day. Heather had a picture of him pinned inside her dress, their guests held candles lit during the ceremony in remembrance, and several other ways they made sure he was close. It was so touching.
