Cheers to Wedding Wednesday!
This week I am so happy to feature Sara and Matt’s gorgeous Yorktown Wedding! Before all the threats of Hurricanes loomed, it was a nasty, hot, humid, summer. I was preparing for a super hot and sweaty day but my goodness! It was the most gorgeous mild summer day. Perfect blue skies, and cool breezes blowing from the water.
Everyone was totally excited for these two. It was a lit crowd and even though I was a little nervous at times to jump in the action, they kept the party going all night! I love it when wedding guests participate so heavily in the evening’s festivities. The bride and groom were all smiles all night.
Some easy going beach goers that day let us take over the beach for the bridal party photos. They had an audience but what troopers to smile and act crazy in front of all those strangers! Later that evening some teenagers took advantage of the DJ and had their own little party outside of the reception tent. Those girls had some moves!
I met Sara and Matt last summer for their engagement session and immediately fell in love with this laid back, easy spirited couple. I could tell right away how great they were together. Matt and Sara are also now, literally, family through marriage! Matt’s aunt is also my aunt (through marriage). I SO LOVE THAT! All their family members were so kind and welcoming to me. It’s such a wonderful feeling to be welcomed into a group of people who have spent a lifetime forming bonds. I even got to meet a 2018 AP couple that evening! Shout out to Colleen!!
Sara and Matt, you guys may not be Greek, but if the amount of broken glass is any indication of luck and good fortune, you guys are set for a lifetime!!
